The decision to pursue an internship at Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) was driven by a passion for working with people from diverse backgrounds, a desire for practical experience in various human resources (HR) functions, and a curiosity to explore the unique dynamics, regulations, and challenges of the pharmaceutical industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At BI, I anticipated a chance to delve into the multifaceted nature of HR practices\u2014from recruitment to talent management and organizational development. I was eager to apply theoretical knowledge from my studies in a practical, real-world setting to these HR functions. Particularly, the talent review project was a significant learning curve, giving me the opportunity to understand pharmaceutical industry more. Secondly, in my role within the talent management department, I was entrusted with the coordination of several training workshops. This task required me to initiate contact with various service providers, negotiate terms, and formalize agreements, honing my contract management skills. Lastly, in preparing for the 2024 campus recruitment project, I started with a thorough data collection phase, where I gathered all relevant information to inform our strategy. After developing a preliminary plan, I brought these ideas to our management team. Discussing with the managers was crucial; it allowed me to gain their perspectives and refine our approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This internship aligns with interests in human resources and a deeper understanding of the pharma sector, offering a platform to apply academic knowledge to real-world situations and to grow professionally in a field that directly impacts health and well-being globally. The diverse tasks I was involved in, ranging from campus recruitment to talent management, not only honed my data analysis and communication skills but also gave me a unique insight into the strategic operations of a global corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
