Interning at Galaxy Software Service (GSS), a software company, for six months has been a valuable experience for me. My main responsibility was recruitment, which included inviting candidates for interviews through phone calls, arranging interviews with both the hiring manager and the applicant, and assisting during interviews. These responsibilities allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of the role of HR in a company, not just the theoretical knowledge I learned in school.
The most memorable task during my time at GSS was the opportunity to participate in and assist with the company’s internship recruitment process. This experience helped me develop the ability to efficiently invite and schedule interviews within a short period. Moreover, since there are different internship positions, I learned how to tailor interview arrangements to best match each specific role. These are the experience that is difficult to gain in the school.
Having the opportunity to intern at GSS provided me with practical experience in recruitment, making me a more competitive candidate for future opportunities. It also helped me better understand whether I am truly interested in the HR field and whether it suits me. Overall, it was a rewarding yet challenging experience that strengthened my skills and career direction.
