[IHRD Course] Studies in Leadership and Talent Development Practices

According to IHRD curriculum, IHRD students have a great chance to integrate application of theories and practices. The Studies in Leadership and Talent Development Practices by professor Philip Hsi is one elective course which open in the Spring 2022 semester. Professor Philip Hsi is a skilled HR/L&D professional with more than 30 years of experience. He was Management Training Manager, Personnel Manager in Philips Electronics Taiwan; VP of Harvard Management Services; Chief Editor of Management Magazine; L&D Director, HR VP of FarEasTone Telecommunications and L&D Director, HR Project Director in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). As now he is serving as a member of council of Chinese Human Resources Management Association based in Taiwan. For this course is designed to help students develop the leadership competencies and leveraged core knowledge through action learning approach and another activity such as class discussion, pairs game, group presentation. Professor Philip Hsi always encourages everyone to apply theory into real experience in order to implement within business context by adopting all techniques and concept in each session. In addition, we have a collaboration opportunity, and also formative and constructive feedback that everyone shares and initiate to each other. In this class IHRD students and also student from another partner school learned a lot from professor experience. The course is a very fascinating and immersive course.
